Sponsor’s Emirates ID: Original copy
Sponsor’s Passport: Copy of the passport and residence visa page (passport should have at least 6 months of validity remaining)
Legalized Marriage Certificate: Must be attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) and translated into Arabic
Legalized Birth Certificate: Must be attested by MOFA and translated into Arabic
Passport-Sized Photographs: With a white background
Passport Copies of the Sponsored Individual: Passport should have at least 6 months of validity remaining
Salary Certificate: For Free Zone applicants or Labor Contract for Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE) applicants
Now you can sponsor your dependents in the UAE as a business owner or an employee regardless of the profession, provided you meet the minimum salary requirement, show proof of relationship and dependency, ability to house and financially support your dependents while residing in the UAE. Documents showing relation and dependency not issued in the UAE must be legalized and attested by the UAE Consulate from your home country and then by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the UAE.
Additional Conditions for Sponsoring Children and Spouse in Dubai
- For unmarried daughter over 18 years old need NOC from father confirming her marital status
- For mother to sponsor children under her sponsorship need NOC from father confirming that he doesn’t have any objections
- Single mother to sponsor children under her sponsorship need birth certificate confirming that there is no father at the time of delivery
- Visa duration will be the same as sponsor visa
Additional Conditions for Sponsoring Parents in Dubai
- Sponsors must pay a security deposit for each parent they wish to sponsor. The amount is determined by the Immigration Authority.
- Standard visa duration is one year. However, the Golden Residency visa offers a 10-year option for parents.
- Sponsors must have a minimum salary of AED 20,000 per month and provide a 2-bedroom housing facility. Requirements may vary in other Emirates.
- Sponsor should provide 6 months bank statement
Additional Conditions for Sponsoring Domestic Workers
- Maids or nannies must be hired from approved countries.
- Besides standard documents, you may need to provide a labor contract and an affidavit of non-relationship if the domestic worker is from the same nationality.
- Attested marriage certificate and children birth certificates are required to hire nanny and housemaid
- House land plan is required to sponsor a gardener
Steps and Procedure for UAE Residence Visa Application for family visas:
- Document Collection
- Gather Documents: Collect all necessary documents, including both soft copies and the original Emirates ID.
- Submission: Submit the soft copies electronically and present the original Emirates ID for verification.
- Family File Creation
- Initiate Processing: Open a family file in the Immigration system to start the visa application process.
- Entry Permit
- For Those Inside the UAE: If the entry permit is for someone already in the UAE, a status change must be processed locally, which may incur an additional fee, varying by Emirate.
- For Those Outside the UAE: If the entry permit is for someone outside the UAE, they should print the entry permit and present it, along with their passport, at a UAE airport for stamping upon arrival.
- Medical Examination
- Schedule and Complete Exam: After completing the status change (if applicable), family members must undergo a medical examination at a center approved by the Dubai Health Authority or the Ministry of Health & Prevention. The medical exam includes a blood test and X-ray for dependents over 18 years old.
- Emirates ID Application
- Apply for Emirates ID: After passing the medical exam, apply for an Emirates ID. This involves visiting an Emirates ID center to provide biometric data, including fingerprints, for dependents aged 15 years and older. Ensure you have the medical test results and Emirates ID application form ready.
- Visa Stamping
- Finalization: The final step is to have the residence visa stamped. This officially confirms your residency status in the UA
